Who endorses us?

Why do we need new organ?
The current organ (with a tubular-pneumatic action) is in very poor condition from both technical and the acoustic point of view. In The Holy Trinity Church in Královo Pole, there is large number of musical actions and the organ is used during almost all of these activities. Hence, the need for a new organ is a natural consequence of the current situation that was confirmed in numerous discussions, consultations, expert opinions, and professional advice and reparations. What will the new organ look like and what purpose will it be used for?
In addition to using the organ at Masses (accompanying the church community or the church choir), the organ is also played on during concert performances. Various musical performances and also purely organ productions are held in the church. For this reason, our church was recommended to require and concentrate on a modern three manual organ with a mechanical tract which is also concepted for concert performances. After the new organ being constructed, we have also been promised to take place in regular prestigious organ concerts. How much will the new organ cost and when will it be ready?
In 2012 and 2013 we had addressed and inquired a total of five organ manufactures. According to updated offers, the price of the required organ is about 15 million CZK. To obtain this amount, we have arranged collections in the parish and also among sponsors and benefactors in Královo Pole and the neighbourhood. We are preparing applications for grants from the county, the city and city districts, and we intend to focus on other grant providers. We have estimated that the actual collection could last approx. five years and the construction of the organ another three years. The detailed schedule of the planned activities can be found here.
